On March 18 in Tbilisi Chess place the 76th Women's Championship of Georgia began.
The tournament will last till March 30.
12 strongest chess players of Georgia take part in it: Meri Arabidze, Salome Melia, Nino Khomeriki, Sofiko Khukhashvili, Keti Tsatsalashvili, Sofio Gvetadze, Tamar Tsereteli, Maka Purtseladze, Miranda Mikadze, Inga Khurtsilava, Aleksandra Vakhania and Tamar Esadze.
The chess player who won the first place will become the candidate for national team.
The taken I-III places will receive financing on participation in the European championship of 2019 and the right for participation in the
77th Women's Championship of Georgia.
The championship is held on a round system to 11 rounds.
Control of time: 90 minutes on 40 courses, then 30 minutes before a game end with addition of 30 seconds on the move.
